dont buy these off ebay. i bought my redtop from pepboys and if anything happens to the battery in the next 3 years, i just bring it to any store and get a free replacement. not something thats really possible to do with an online store, and god knows how much shipping cost on a heavy battery.

on a realated note, anyone know why the terminals on optimas are reversed? i bought a redtop for my moms matrix but couldnt use it because the cables wouldnt reach.

the red top costs more because it has more cold cranking amps then the yellow top.

some places wont cover warranty if you use a yellowtop under the hood... id personally run a redtop under the hood and a yellow top for the system... either way Optima batteries are the way to go for car audio i personally think... Stinger has some alright ones im told, i havent used one though.

There are a number of new batteries out there jus for high powered systems. Some of them are very expensive. I don't know if they have any advantage over the optimas. I would think they do, since optima as the standard they all aim for.
