QUOTE(presure2 @ Jun 12, 2007 - 5:48 PM) WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT. wow, 2 years, 5sfte powered. i totally forgot about the anniversary. lol ok so, here we are, 2 years later. what have we learned? 5sfe + boost = good just gotta build it right! so, prolly the MOST asked question i get PM'd is: do you have a parts list? well, technicly, no. i have a "basic" list, that every 5sfte owner should modify to fit theyre own needs, or plans. the idea is this: think you see somthing you could make work better? DO IT! if we keep refining the setup, it WILL just keep getting better and more reliable. ok so here we go: the basics: 3sgte (gen 2) exhaust manifold ct-26 twin entry turbo, (from a 90-93 celica alltrac, or 90+ mr2), with oil and water lines stock 3sgte DP (or aftermarket) 3sgte (gen 2) oil pan, preferably from an alltrac, some of the mr2 ones have the oil level sensor, which will need to be blocked off = more work at the MINIMUM, i would say 390cc injectors, i am currently running 460cc injectors from an rx-7, the part # is in my profile (just click the screenname ) a decent front mount intercooler, (no, a stock alltrac, mr2, or DSM intercooler is not "decent") with associated piping, couplers and clamps blow off valve of your choice tuner toys head adapter fitting (for oil feed for turbo) (2) -3an to 1/8npt STEEL male fitting to have welded to the stock oil feed line and for tuner toys fitting ~16-18" -3an stainless braided line (for oil feed) oil filter relocation setup (kit or otherwise) various rubber hose (for water lines for turbo) with clamps SAFCII or emanage or whatever. 2 bar map sensor (alltrac 90-93 mr2T 90+) im sure im missing some stuff, this was just off the top of my head. ill add more with edits as i think of it. lol anyway, to give you an idea,of how she's running, this is a quick vid i threw together for jeff after this past weekends meet @ DWG. this is with defgeph in the other lane, running ~14-15psi, IIRC (3sgteRC swapped) just for future refrence, we're just about 30,000 miles on the turbo setup. we were @ ~160k when we installed it, and we're about to crack 190k now. still going strong!! long live Team 5SFTE!!!!!!! -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Hey Manny,
I tried to call up a mazda dealership, and they said that the fuel injector part #195500-2010 doesn't exsist. So i told him to check up on a mazda rx-7 turbo, and to gimme the part number for that fuel injector, he said that the number just changed to #N370-13-250. Thought i should let ya know ! I was just taking a look over the pictures again and I realized that you relocated your oil cooler. I never noticed that before. any pics of where you relocated it to?

X3 with out ur help my celica probally would have never become what it is today. hey guys, thanks. when i started building my setup, it was with the goal of building somthing that would be reliable, and just make the car more fun to drive. as i researched, i saw more and more of what seemed to me to be just dumb reasons for guys blowing motors, and figured "if you build it RIGHT, it WILL last" i mean, hey, none of us are millionares here, obviously, but some things, its best to just not cut corners and just spend the money it requires to build it right. im glad that i've been able to help you guys build your own 5sfte's, but that dont mean my setup is the best and only way to go, there are ALWAYS room for improvements, and modifications to make your setups better and even more reliable than mine. as we're getting closer to 3 years on my 5sfte, im STILL learning more and more all the time, and still have alot of theorys in my crazy head about things we could do to make even more power, and still be as reliable as we have been. hopfully we'll see some of them thru here in the near future with some of YOUR builds! -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

X4, without your help I would've never gotten it all together. and without this thread I would've never had the inspiration. I'd like to hear some of those ideas you've got for more power though, I'm already wishing I could be faster. gotta get some good tires first though, I can pretty much spin them all the way through third before gaining traction in the rain only about halfway through third when it's dry

Mine is going to take some time. I am rolling a 92 auto with 225,000 miles on it. My build is going to have to include an engine rebuild with better internals, a tranny swap to manual, and then go all out with the best parts for my turbo setup. I just don't wanna waste the money in the long run. I have already dropped a grand on struts and springs with various other parts just to get it driveable.
