Hi guys im new to this board and would like some advice regarding the veilside front.
I live in the uk and the roads here aint the best we have speed humps plastered every where (annoying raised tarmac bout75mm) and my cars lowered 35mm so do any of you guys who have the veilside front and your car is lowered ,encounter any problems with the height of the ground clearance (how much have you got) because i dont fancy splitting the front once its on. Cheers. |

Hi Mark ,
I think you may have problems. if your car hadn't been lowered you may have got away with it, but the Veilside front nose does extend forward slightly and I can see it fouling the speed humps. In London I've seen Jap Cars imported with the full bodykits only for the front valence pieces to be removed because of the speedhump collisions. If you do fit the kit and encounter problems changing the size of alloys and tyres might help, Jon |

Hi jon
thanks for the advice i think ill have problems with the height seeing as ive only got 16's at the moment may get 18's first then the kit, has your car been lowered (i assume its your car in the sig nice ride by the way) or i may get the bodyshop to trim the bottom of the kit seeing as the lower splitter is seperate what do you think? |

No my one wasn't lowered and the front bumper was damaged in transit
from japan so it now has the conventional GT4 bumper until a better replacement is found, trimming is one answer but only if your happy with the final appearance. 18" alloys will set your car off brilliantly but I'm not sure how well the fit will be with a lowered car.Post some pictures up on your member profile when you get the chance, Jon |

Mark ....you are not alone.
I have excatly the same dilema here in France. (Speed humps, parking ramps, ...) I would like a veilside style front bumper as well. My plan is to first do the suspension (Koni's with Eibach's - 1.5" drop), braking (f&r cross-drilled and slotted discs, EBC Green pads and painted calipers) and wheels (TSW EvoR 7x17 and I am going to try fitting 225x45x17, I'm currently running 205x40x17) and then see what I can do afterwards. Trimming the splitter seems like a possibility, I thought about trimming the bottom of the bumper and then mating the splitter to it. I also thought about re-inforcing the splitter with an underside metal plate. |

yea trimming the bottom seems like the best idea, a plate across the bottom seems like a good idea, make the underside a bit stronger,
ill prob do a similar thing to you fininsh everything else first then get the front done at the end bloody speed humps |
