Basically, I did a install job for a friend a while ago (my old amp and sub) and it was great. Looked awesome and sounds awesome. Anyways, his radio shorted out about a week, and he quickly just got another reciever. I installed it, and wonderful. I asked for the old one, to see if i could fix it, and he siad he would give me 3/4 profit. So, any ideas? i have pictures of the internal board, and i went through everything that looked like fuse's, and there are two that really don't do much on my meter tester. So, any ideas

go buy new fuels and install them.. if the unit doesnt turn on.. it could be a serious electrical problem.

another thing you can do.. is smell the board.. I know it sound silly, but you can actually smell a fried circuit.

and picture would help.

haha.. sorry about that.. i mean changing the fuses..

to test if the fuse are good.. use a multimeter, and set it on the ohms setting.. and touch the two ends.. If the fuse is good, then the meter will react and jump. if the fuse is dead, then the meter would not do anything.

i know about all that electricle stuff, i just didn't know what the hell "fuels" were when it came to electronics, hahahaha.

I'm guessing it's in the face plate, and i've decided it's not worth it. Oh yeah, it's not a sony, i don't know what i was thinking. It's a piece of **** Dual
