ok everyone...i just wanted to know what you guys were quoted on for the installation of your rear glass on your carbon fiber hatch. I was qouted btween 100-150 for installation, but the company i was going through (Cindy Row) said that they are not reliable if the window brakes. ANd if it does I obviuolsy have to buy another one!

Hmmmm....what r u guys doin? and how much have u been quoted.

You know what we can do! Just not put the window in there at all!!!!...Weight reduction!!!....just kidding...

I know this isnt the same, but my brother paid $75 to get his civics rear window put in.. whch is smaller. so that seems like it might be right. Also if there not going to back there work, or be liable for the window dont use them. They break it they should replace it, thats why your paying someone to do it.

I'm waiting to get mine. Then, I'll have some place mold lexan in place of glass. I dont want this thing weighing more than pounds.

No quotes, I need to have the hatch handy.

Good luck with your glass fellas

GE's polycarbonate ©
it's a lightweight glass that is stronger, but it supposed to have a few downfalls...
i was talking with Def, but when the hatches come out i will see if i can find something that is easy to ship

I have the opportunity to get a new (used) rear hatch with glass for about $30-$40. If someone wants it, I can pick it up and if anyone wants to get it from me, it's theirs. Shipping would be high because it is big and heavy, but if you want to pick it up...

we send a money order to the company for down payment, and once they get a certain amount in they start production, the rest of the money is not due until the finished product is available...

I am calling today to see if i can extend this GB over some time to get us a price at $400 instead of $425

when i had my windshiled replaced i asked them how much it would be to get a new seal in my rear window, they said they would have to take it completely out and back in to do it and it would run like 50 or 60 bucks. So i would assume it would be about that much.
