man ill tell you the one i have man its spools up fast. if i floor it it spool about 1300 rpm..and yeah now you know why i pull so hard on 1st and 2nd but see im planning on getting rid of it for a ct6 im just planning to change my set up.. but im still thinking about putting a t3 on like you say too. and yeah i want more power and people say i need a bigger turbo cause i have such a hugh motor compare to a small little turbo which isn't pushing enough power. but yeah its great man.

alot of people with the t3/t4 on 3ste and 5sfe say it takes a pretty long while to spool up...ur gonna have less power lower rpms and its gonna shift power up to 3-5....and ur not gonna spool up to full boost at 1300rpms anymore.....is there anyway to twin turbo a 5sfe so you can use the small turbo and the t3 together?

twin turboing a 4cyl is needlessly complex and expensive.

if you want a little better top end in 3rd, maybe consider a t28BB or something like that, im sure it will spool almost as fast

or you can get some good engine management and a nice external wastegate and with skilled tuning, make a t3 or t3/t4 hybrid spool up real quick.

almost all the T3 series is too small for the 5s. IMO if money wasnt an object, i'd go for a T3/To4E hybrid with a 46trim compressor and a .48a/r for the turbine.

in that graph i plotted for 7 and 10 psi...good stuff, and as you turn up the boost it just gets better. i'd definetly sacrifice a little spool time for what that turbo will give ya wink.gif
::EDIT::: heres a plot of a 60trim T3, just so you guys can see what im talking about, this is the largest compressor in the T3 series.:

as you can see, your almost off the right side in the higher RPMS...anything smaller than a 60 trim T3 and your way off the map by 4500-5k...the exact reason your car falls on its face in the upper rpms, with ubber quick spool, your turbo is too small.
