Most of us here have jobs, family, and school, don't worry about it, at least he made sure it'd get to you safe so that there's no problems. If he woulda sent it with the scotch and it woulda gotten to you f'ed up, then you'd probably not receive another one or have to go thru a big mess to get another one.

Don't worry about shipping mine late. my car isn't being driven now either. As long as I get it by next April, I'll be happy. It's just going to sit in my room until then. Yeah i'm excited to see it but it's only going to be exciting for the first 10 minutes, then sit for months. No biggie to me. Just so that it's here before my next big car show this coming spring.
