what brand wheel were they? just so people know to stay away. wheels aren't supposed to do that ..

Well, wheels aren't made to be abused like that either though. Mac, you're lucky not to be dead after pulling a stunt like that.

I told Mac he should go to Town Fair Tire and ask them to remove a tire from a rim for him. And then look at thier reaction when he hands them the tire and half rim. hahaha

Wheels are made to do *exactly* that. Go round and round at speed.

I routinely commuted to work at well over 200kph for nine months, and I wouldn't expect a wheel to fail that way.

The worst that should happen is a tyre blowout. No fun. No fun at all. But controllable.

about a week ago i hit a pothole going 35 and slowing down. blew a tire right there.
