I can usually figure stuff out but this has got me perplexed. I have an Apex'i turbo timer, and it was working just fine, i'd turn the key and everything would stay on, no problems. Well now the engine will not remain on, and the car will for the alotted time, or the engine will cut and then almost start up again except without the starter. I have checked the ignition connection twice, and its still connected. I'm annoyed, does anyone have a clue? mad.gif

Because your post makes it a bit hard to understand?

I'm somewhat confused, but the following is what I got out of your post. So one of two things will happen?

The car's engine will die, but the rest of the car acts as if the key is in the ignition on position?

or

The engine RPMs drop very low, then almost go up as if the engine will come back to life, then the car dies?

Is this correct?

Almost, but I was saying that mainly because nobody responded.

The engine is used to stay running, no drop in RPMs. Now it either:
A. Doesnt stay running, but the car stays in _on position.
B. Stays running but only after basically stopping first.

Interesting...I would think that your ignition power wires are cutting out just for a moment.

I know that in my car, when I had my alarm setup a little bit wrong, the car would sometimes almost die when I put the key in and turned it to on, because as soon as it hit the accessory it would cut power until you moved the key to the on position.

My guess would be that when you hit the accessory section while turning the key, that it's cutting power to your ignition wires. But I can't really confirm...that's just a guess.

Did you wire the turbo timer yourself? Do you have a diagram of how exactly it's wired?

Does your fuel pump come on when you turn your key to the position before cranking? I am wondering if when you did the swap, the wiring was done so that the fuel pump doesn't come on until you turn the key all the way. If so, it is possible that you are getting a momentary loss of fuel when the key is turned off and the car dies. Just a theory.

Yeah it turns on. And its always comes back to the fact that, post swap, it was fine. And now its not. I swapped my pump but I also had the problem before and after.

Any possibility your ebrake is not engaging?

The timer would shut off completely then, and not still countdown like it does.
