You mean 15,000... I'm pretty sure its just regular synthetic mobil 1, but now they can flaunt the 15K part.

Synthetics have been able to go that long before, its just been kept hush hush. They say "new blend" but I doubt the 15K version is much different, it at all, of the standard Mobil 1 thats been out for awhile. Amsoil has had synthetic out that could go 30K but gov't but the kybash on it.

if you take off your filter with the oil in the motor you don't lose much oil 3oz max...so you change the filter 3 times but oil once lol!

it will hold 15k easy

but yea i'm switching over to redline do to the fact its the best oil out there right now performance wise from what reviews i've read

i've been changing my moble one synthetic oil every 3k miles.. the oil looks exactly the same color as the new oil. But the engine runs smoother after I changed the oil. I just dont trust the oil being in the engine that long.. i think it thins out.

Well thats corporate brainwashing. They come out with a motor oil guaranteed for 15K and you guys are still stuck on 3. Standard oil can go longer than 3k so your synthetic can go much longer, regardless of whether you "trust" it.

thats where your wrong, normal Mobil 1 can go for 5k easily even tho its darker its working fine. --- this is straight from the horses mouth, my uncle is a rep for them and is up there in their business, hes doing quite well financialy.

u change the filter every 3k, and loose very little oil so you just top it off every time you change.

The Government? more like the big oil companies and car companies, Amsoil has been recommending extended drain intervals since the '70s,,, and it was 25000 miles, 35000 on the newer series 2000 & 3000 oils, even longer with their bypass filter system and oil analysis. I've been doing it for over 20 years, never had a problem because of it. Amsoil is the largest manufacturer of synthetics and has been doing it longer than anybody else.
