don't use synthetic oil it could do more harm then good. if a car doesn't come out of the factory with synthtic oil don't use it. look in the a service manual and use what ever oil it tells you to use.

I used 10w/40 semi synthetic on mine to begin with then
moved down to 10w /30. You have to bear in mind that although semi synthetic is less restrictive on the engine it wouldnt be ideal to use it on a GT4 in hot climates, and I noticed your from Cyprus. A grade up in viscosity might be better but if in doubt email toyotas technical people for the text book answer..... |

all turbo engines need syntheic oil.....or the mixed kind.....due to the heat produced and normal motor oil tends to clogg up the lines to the turbo and thus that u don't need
!!! It is only recommended to use regular motor oil for the breaking in period of a new engine or a freshly rebuilt one!!!!!! |

not true is synthetic oil will do more damnage to your engine if the engine wasn't meant for it even with a turbo. If the owners manuals says to use regual oil use that and only use that your engine will last longer. while the bearings in the synthetic oil will eat out your engine. -------------------- |

Ok, on which turbo cars would you NOT put synthetic in, becuase I have never heard of not using a synthetic oil on a forced induction vehicle. So, please list any cars, and I would be more than happy to check it out and then agree with you if you are right. |

if you look at oil under a mircoscop you'll see that it billions of bearings that what makes it smooth and silky.
diffrenet weight means different size bearings. -------------------- |
