As far as I know a GT and GT-S from 2000-onward have the same caliper, as far as pads you can find those easily by looking but the caliper brackets, hubs and possibly other things may not fit our cars, if you already bought it then see whats what but otherwise research it to make sure its possible to fit those style calipers on our cars. But honestly our GT's have a fairly good brake system as it stands, just get a good set of quality rotors and some quality ceramic pads to match. If you want better brake feel use steel braided brake lines and DOT4 brake fluid for a higher temp range. A good set of Tires go a long way in helping cars brake as well

Check the info in the stickies. If I recall correctly, the 7th gen brakes are a slight upgrade and are relatively easy to swap out.

Skip the drilling. It used to have some function, but with modern pad chemical formulae it's pointless on cars (motorcycles are a different story) and drilling a cast piece creates points of potential failure.
Simple proof: how many F1, Indycar or other top racing series do you see with drilled or slotted rotors. Long proof: http://www.celicatech.com/forums/showthrea...ors-quot-Thread |
