I need to run a power line directly from my battery to the interior. I am just wondering if you guys have any tips on where the best place is to drill a small hole in the firewall to run wire through.
If drilling isnt the best solution, then what did you guys do? Im planning on running two 8 gauge wires and thats it. -------------------- Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it... |

I drilled right behind my pedals and ran wire through there. I can take a pic for you if you'd like.

OK, im pretty much completely worthless at this point.
I went to go drill a hole under the pedals like you guys suggested, but upon looking down there and trying to compare it with the other side of the firewall, im scared that ill drill and hit something. Is there a safe place to drill?? -------------------- Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it... |

I'll get pics of where you could probably run wire through the fender. I'll be back in 20 minutes or so with them.

depends, you running a power for an amp, i ran 4 gauge to an amp, i drilled the hole, directly in front of the brake, but high enough not to get it caught when stepping on the pedals, so when you do make the hole just just under the brake master cylinder you can make the hole up to a 1/2 inch wide but 4 gauge, 3/4 will do, and always supply a grommet

I found a hole that already excisted from the start. On the right side of the car. Just plugged the rubber piece covering it.
Dont u guys have a hole @ the passenger side of the car in the firewall? -------------------- JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!

There should be a rectangular rubber grommet in the firewall (well, there is on my UK spec right-hand drive Celi). There was more than enough space to easily poke my gauge 4 power cable through without any hassle.
