does anyone have an idea of how much a new starter cost, i have a lot of clicking when starting my car up so i figure its the starter. Just wanted to get an idea of how much one would cost these days.

a starter is common for all toyotas and will probably run you about $100. The install isn't too difficult if you want to do it yourself.

don't fall for the same mistake i did.. my 95 gt-s has a 5sfe just like the 90-93 models but the switch adapter is different. just like what batman722 said most are common.. but starting from 94+ is where it's at. unfortunately, 6th gen celicas are rare to come across salvaged parts yard in my area but i managed to get a 2000 Solara starter instead. i got it for $60 canadian so... about $46 USD?
