After a long frustrating and fruitless search for a 4agze I decided to go with the 7afe for my 94 shell. I want to turbo charge it and was wonder if the turbo on this link was a good and safe choice.
http://www.streetlevelperformance.com/Toyo...rbo%20Kits.html What is the difference between the one priced at $2000 and $1500? My main focus for this car is an everyday drive as well as a Honda killer. Will I achieve this with this turbo and engine combination? Thanks for any advice in advance guys. |

Those turbo "kits" don't fit at all. They need to be totally customized to your car. At least, that's what I've always heard.

The description states it will fit the 7afe engine, which is exactly what my car has. |

Well, there are at least three people that I can think of off the top of my head who I know that have gotten this kit. The turbo itself will fit on, but the parts don't fit together. Basically the parts are there, but the whole kit still needs to be customized to actually fit your car. It's kind of like you're buying all the parts for a turbo kit in one package, but they're just the parts... you still need to make them fit YOUR car.
Here are some quotes from doing a couple searches on the Corolla forums: QUOTE(hookedup96rolla) that kit is pure ****. do not buy it. i tried it on my 4AFE and NOTHING fit or worked and then even after trying a second 1 they sent me which did not fit they chose to take a 25% restocking fee. i ended up losing about 1500 in the end of the whole thing. A ****ING ****TY COMPANY AND A ****TY TURBO "KIT!" QUOTE(slvr2000fdvspec) turbo-kits.com = half assed turboes..not a good thing just custom build one QUOTE(drifting808) you might want to do a search on the tsi kit, i think i remember reading that someone bought that kit and nothing fit. it was a crappy kit. This is one of the guys I was thinking of: QUOTE(hookedup96rolla) yeah i am the one who bought it. im still trying to work **** out with them too to make it fit and all. I suggest u don't buy it, the IC piping and the dp is fairly small and their customer service sucks ass on top of all the other problems. By the way, how could you not find a 4AGZE? You can get them off eBay, Venus-auto.com, and a ton of JDM engine importers. EVERYONE carries them.
