Has anyone put an H.I.D. conversion kit on their ride, and if so was it hard to do?

Some kits out there like the CATZ HID kit are all plug and play. It shouldn't be hard to install at all.

charlie doesn't come here i don't think, but he's on celica.net, you should go over there and send him a PM, or just start a topic about it there. i'm sure it wouldn't be hard. and i dunno if me and you are thinkin about the same things Tenchi, but catz makes an HID kit, and i believe they also make some other weird kit that is just plug in, but it's not an actual "HID" kit, it just intensifies the light a couple X. i forget the name of that kit though...oh well...g/l macavely.

i admit that HID looks really well on all cars, but you also have to remember the price. the normal cost for an HID conversion is around $700. i say go to your local auto store and get Nokya white headlights. these are the nicest lights that acutally work and they are only $30 for both lights.

700 is really high... I would say more in the ballpark of 4 - 500, and installing them is nothing, definatly easy to install, just find a place for the ballast and wire it up, then it's just like changing a bulb.

Hey mynzeyes, Yea they also make the CATZ Zeta. Which is a poor man's HID. I have this on my Civic and they look great! The light output is soooo much better than stock or any PIAA bulbs. They also have a 9006 kit for our Celicas. As for the price of an HID, there was a group buy that had the CATZ 5000k HID for I think around $499. Also if someone bought them, they would receive free foglights also. You just have to search for the best prices. |
