What would be more beneficial for the ST buying the turbo kits they sell for the corollas and do minor custom work for fitment or hooking up a 75 wet shot of nitrous. If the internals where upgraded slightly basically the stronger rods they sell for the st because I dont think there are any pistons unless you go custom and a p&p and some other things to make the motor able to take the stress.

I'd stay away from nitrous, especially if its your only performance mod.

that and you already have your pieces backwards!
pistons are an easy find you go to HKS,ARIAS, Wiseco anyone and buy 4agze pistons and rings 4age head gasket port and polish and CUSTOM rods |

Nitrous could work, but I wouldn't run a 75 shot on an ST without the parts playr158 listed. Since you'll have to go that far you might as well go turbo. Now if you run maybe a 25 shot that is should be safe.

Nitrous is icky, its like AIDS for your car! LOL
Unless you want the sleezy motel room "quick-fix" just go with a turbo set up. This post has been edited by celicaboy04: Apr 19, 2005 - 9:01 AM -------------------- Armed? Armed with what?

do both. put a huge 20g turbo on it so it cant spool. then have a window switch with a 35 shot to spool the turbo lol. problem solved. will it last? probly not... will it work? maybe?

Nothing like sending an nitrous oxide in a high compression engine and waiting for 1 serious detonation.

What's the compression on 7a's? I'm a big fan of nitrous. IM me sometime and I can tell ya more. But I know you can get away with about 75 shot on 5S.
As far as which is better, it's all opinion. Some like turbo for all the time power. I like nitrous, cuz it only stresses my internals more when I want em too. It's also easy to hide and folks would never know. When I did my nitrous I was being really cautious and buying the stuff I didn't have to have, but playing it more safe. And I was still saving about 800-1000 more then the turbo guys -------------------- NASA/SCCA RX-7....currently under the knife

To show you what nitrous can do watch Mischief Destroy I think, there is a CRX trying to run an alcohol powered Banshee and you don't run into the problems that guy had with boost.

QUOTE(SlowCelica94 @ Apr 19, 2005 - 3:07 PM) But I know you can get away with about 75 shot on 5S. for a matter of time. That has got to wear the crap out of ur 5s.... QUOTE As far as which is better, it's all opinion. Some like turbo for all the time power. I like nitrous, cuz it only stresses my internals more when I want em too. It's also easy to hide and folks would never know. yeah it's just a matter of opinion. I like having power everywhere, not just when i push a button. And you shouldn't hit it in every gear like a turbo QUOTE When I did my nitrous I was being really cautious and buying the stuff I didn't have to have, but playing it more safe. And I was still saving about 800-1000 more then the turbo guys you save that money now, but the turbo guys make up for it eventually. In the end you, no offense, still have basically a slow car. Sure it can go fast every once and a while, but that's some major wear and tear on ur motor unless it's built for that. -------------------- White 93 Mr2 Turbo

if you knew one thing about NOS
you should KNOW That you do not want to run a button to just shoot it in you want to run a throttle position sensor to engage your NOS aka a WOT trigger....the smartest way to run NOS and for you dorks out there its not NOS NOS = a BRAND NAME NITROUS is what you should refer to it as ouch the rice in here hurts my head turbo doesn't always put stress on your internals hence the reason for a boost controller and staging boost levels i can drive all day and never hit boost |

But you still need something to press to make that NAWWWZ start. I mean if not, wouldn't everytime you're at WOT there goes some NAWWWZ -------------------- White 93 Mr2 Turbo
