the st is rev limited but i'm not sure to what exactly.
the speed is governed (limited) to 110 from the factory, but different size wheels can affect that. HKS makes a speed limiter cut for around $45, mabey cheaper on ebay. also if you have any upgrades and want to moniter your performance, i suggest a APEXi RSM, it has a speed limiter cut built in and can measure all performance numbers. just be prepared to deal with metric numbers. and i got me celica to 130 with intake and exhaust, it wasn't that fast but i did get it there, and yeah mods won't make you go faster because its usually the tranny that resticts speed, but some cars run out of power before gear, just not the celi. -------------------- |

Im almost postive that the rev limit on the st is 6800 or close to that.

I have been driving uphill in my 99 ST at 115 mph. There was no problem really coming up to that speed. Not sure how it would have been going any faster though. But I was still only using my fourth gear, and haven't reached rev limit yet either. (this is with no real mods, apart from new rims and tires. And of course removing tools and spare tire etc from the back)
I'm not sure, but I think that the Europe version is more like the JDM version than the US really, because of several things. And I think we might have a tad more than the US version under the hood. Cali cars atleast are a bit slower than regular, aren't they? -------------------- ![]() |

California cars arnt necesarly slower we just have more emissions to deal with, but when it comes to top speed the limit is set lower i think than others. As for my redline its around 6800, but if player is saying 6200 it could be, but im pretty sure i can go higher than that. Im going racing tomarrow anyways so we shall see.
