Ok... I know the how to section includes the DIY for the ST intake. But look at the placement of that intake and then check out this one. Which is better??? It seems like the one in the how to would get colder air... but the ebay one has the simplicity of having everything shipped to you in ready to install form....

It doesn't make enough of a difference on a stock motor anyway, go with what looks best or is the easiest install, it's been proven that an aftermarket air filter on a stock intake will give just as much gain as the aftermarket intakes.

Heres a question about removing the airbox. I thought Id put it here instead of making a new thread.

After removing the filter I see 2 bolts that are not screwable, only able to be removed with a ratchet set. Trouble is... 7/16 size is too big, and 3/8 (or 6/16) is too small!! What the hell! I have no tool that can remove these bolts. How did you all remove yours????

Also, referring to the post above mine... at the end of the article it states.. "Keep in mind that this article isn't referring to cold air intake systems, which do provide a larger performance increase."
I believe this thread was created on the topic of cold air intakes, so yeah..

on toyota's, adding a air intake does not make too much of a gain.
on honda's, on the other had will give dramatic improvements.

But the place where you located your cai will not affect the performance.
You wont be able to see any difference on the quarter mile time if you had it in the fender or in the engine bay if both of them was taking in relatively the same temperature air.

I just posted that I tried with a socket wrench (well, I said ratchet set... same thing) and that it appears to be inbetween the 3/8 and 7/16 heads!! How crazy is that. I really dont want to rip them out, so if anyone else has input on how to get the bolts out that hold the lower part of the airbox in, Id really appreciate it.
