i dont think you can. I know of no way to track specific engines unless they are special race/exotic engines. The vin number keeps track of your specific car, not the engine. Even if you did know exactly where the engine went, it might be impossile for the place to know where your specific engine is, since many times they strip the engine and sell it indivudual parts.

uhh, engine VIN?

i thought the VIN# was place on a whole grip of car parts like doors for example? I think i read somewhere that some cars have a vin on their engine. BUT even ur engine did have its vin on it i dont see how or why it would be tracked. As the vin stays with the car even if the door is replaced.

There isn't anyway to track a normal engine, you can find the exact engine from that vehicle with the casting number but not the engine that came out of it.

If the engine is still in the car then use the VIN, but Carfax won't know until it is registered again.
