you have to take off the passenger fender, and you need a pulley puller and a belt tensioner. i dunno, i got mine put on for like 40 bucks. it shouldn't be a hundred.

well it simple to put a pulley on if your now what you are doing.
you will need for sure a socekt and combination wrench set. a puller maybe. a torq wrench. and and a few other things just get someone that knows what they are doing to help you.

Your engine turns the AC, alternator, and so on. The underdrive pulley turns them slower, thus freeing up power to use for speed.

You don't need to do most of that...that's almost like killing a fly with a shotgun. =]

Installation is a cinch on the ST...(if you have the tools...I did)

Remove the passenger side front tire, and the inner plastic piece (or just the two top bolts and fold it down) After that, the pulley is exposed. Lossen belts, 3 bolts on alternator, 2 on ac compressor... remove belts. Take off main pulley bolt, pull out pulley with pulley puller... (note, I had a larger 3 claw pulley puller, which was too big... but I also had a smaller bolt in type puller, which worked...make sure your pulley puller isn't too big) Try not to dislodge the chuck key. Spray a bit of WD40 on the pulley chuck and on the pulley... slip on, making sure the key is in place... Torque down. Put on new belts, tension tight, but not too tight to where you can't flip the belt with your fingers. Tighten the rest of the bolts, and you're set.

Enjoy...

They usually run around 90-115 bucks. Nice increase overall, but nothing spectacular.

http://www.rpmoutlet.com/aspimp.htm

I got mine there 115 bucks shipped 2 days UPS... took almost a month, but it came. I guess it was on backorder or something.

Did it really make that much of a difference? Could you feel it and was it high or low end?

it doesn't increase power at any particular rpm. its more an overall increase throughout the range. while its not a HUGE difference by any means, there is definetly some more pep especially when the A/C is on.

like I said, its not all that noticeable. I believe there are gains, and I think its well worth it for the ~100, but its not like an intake where you hear the whooosh sound and think wow my car is going faster (which is a placebo effect btw). quite honestly you aren't going to feel a couple hp here or there, but in the end it DOES add up. every mod counts and an underdrive pulley is a step in the right direction.

Hey whats up guys Im new here, just found this website and man its what Ive been looking for. I just recently had the Unorthodox Pulley put on it cost a good 260 bucks but well worth it. There is a signifacant pull once you hit. Doing the math your current underdrive crankshaft pulley weighs almost 6 pounds and unorthodox pulley is about 1.4 pounds. Taking one pound away is a 2.7 HP gain so doing the math it all adds about 12 but thats probably to the crank but none the less it feels good. Remember to get all your belts and what not.
