amp help Options

I had this problem a while ago smogg. It turns out there was just a small hairline slice in my power wire, and everytime the car bounced (driving) just enough to hit metal to a small strand of wire poking out of that, it blew the wire fuse (your 60 amp fuse). Try using a friends power wire, or just a lose one, or borrow a quick one from a audio store or something, and just hook it up to the battary, then go outside of your car (don't do a full install) and come in through the hatchback and then connect it to the amp. See how that works

haha. Wow, I would test the amp if I cared enough, but I really don't. This thread isnt even mine, and I feel bad for derailing it, even though I didn't on purpose. Im glad to hear that the problem probably lied with the amp I was sent, and since the seller has abandoned this thread im more certain now than I was before. I won't test the amp cause I got a new one, and everything works fine. The power cable and wires are all set, the only difference was in the amp and the new one has no problems, my system works fine now.

alright, i've sat back and didn't say anything since a couple of days ago, but now i'm pissed!! for one thing, the freaking amp worked perfect when i sent it!! pyramid is not a crappy brand either. i had a pyramid amp for 5 years and it worked fine. it still works as a matter of fact, i just got another one because it had more power than my old one. just admit you messed up the amp chris(smlogg). i hate people like you who can't admit when there wrong. i would admit i was wrong if i sent you an amp that didn't work, but i didn't send a sh*tty amp so i don't have to admit anything. and for all you who say the fuse couldn't have messed up the amp your wrong. my friend works for town sound in hanover and see this type of crap all the time. if you don't know how to hook a system up don't even try. you'll screw everything up and then blame it on someone else. i'm not a shady guy who sells stuff that doesn't work. i was brought up better than that.

Pyramid is a cheap brand, i don't think you'll be able to prove that it isn't

I dunno why you even created this topic, honestly. Whether what you say is true or not you still got your money. This situation would have never come to light if you didn't bring it on yourself. No one here is taking sides, either, they are trying to understand a situation and explain what they think happened and why.

And maybe you are right, maybe it did work perfectly when you sent it. But pyramid is a cheap brand, and if you sent a cheap brand of sensative equipment (electronics) through a cheap shipping company (dhl) in a cheap beat up package, things do get broken.
