well thats more like bad luck with the car and bad luck with the dealer not all dodges are that bad, i had a 99 1500 which was a great truck and the only reason i got rid of it was because i wanted a 03 hemi 4x4 which to this day has given me no problems whatsoever.

I dont have anything against Dodge, even after reading that story...Those people just need to find the right Dodge people to help them...no company is going to just say "ohh your s*** out of luck, sorry buddy" If a company did that...they wouldnt be in business anymore lol
My dad has a 98 Durango, its has never had anything wrong w/ it... -------------------- |

What makes you think he's stupid? Perhaps some of the logos and graphics are pretty extreme (The counter for days without van for example), but he has a valid case. I'd congradulate him for what he's done.

"Suffering and Inconvenience
There is absolutely no reason why a consumer should have to go through as much trouble as we have to have a manufacturer fix problems that are so obviously caused by defects in the product. These issues have caused, and are continuing to cause, an immeasurable amount of suffering, grief, and inconvenience to me, my family, and to my business. I request a sum of $100,000 to offset some of this unnecessary hardship." if you click on the "what i want" link thats at the bottom. i think thats a little rediculous, but other than that i think he has a point. i agree with him. -------------------- |

Name one car company that doesnt have its problems. Im sure that somewhere along the line there has been a celica that has leaked like hell. Since when is it Dodges responsibitliy to communicate with this person. Car dealerships are the people you get repairs through. The reasen for all the other problems (or most) is becuase of the leak. This guy is clearly greedy and needs to get his facts straight. Its not dodges fault his car dealership screwed him over. And that bit about him suffering, he can shove it. Im sure there are millions of people who would be happy with a car like that, hes not suffering, hes inconvienced.

It goes much deeper then what you know. Read it ALL and then post again. He is dealing with the manufacturer too, and they are the main reason for the problems, not the dealership themselves. and you say, "Im sure there are millions of people who would be happy with a car like that, hes not suffering, hes inconvienced". So you think he should be happy with owning a van, that out of 23 months of ownership, has been in the shop for 179 days? Yup, i would be SO happy with that! I'm gonna go buy a Dodge! |

suffering: To feel pain or distress; sustain loss, injury, harm, or punishment. inconvenienced: Not suited to one's comfort, purpose, or needs it all SUCKS for him but Im not gonna sit here & feel bad for him (unless it happened to one of you)...I got my own problems to worry about lol -------------------- |

actully i have read the website. His main problem is the leak which has caused so many problems. I have never heard of a car manufacterer dealing with warrenty repairs. Its car dealerships that do. You dont bring your car to toyota to get it fixed, you bring it to a shop that does warrenty work. And about the suffering its just an annoyance, sure it sucks but its not dodges fault that his car dealership was screweing him. There is no need for him to put the lame anti dodge stickers on his vehicle and make a website about it. thats just childish. Thats pretty bad if not having your car causes you mental pain. His "what i want" section is the worst part of the whole website. Chrylser doesnt owe him squat. The only people that owe him anything is the car dealership he bought the car from. Edit: After finishing reading this whole page i have one question, why doesnt he hire a lawyer and bring it to small claims court or take appropriate measures, he would clearly win in a suit (against the car dealership for refusing approiate warrenty work). Making a webpage isnt going to fix his car. This post has been edited by DamDirtyApes: May 18, 2005 - 9:11 PM |

he states that a lawyer is too much money for him right now...but it seems that with what he has spent and gone through to no avail..he would've saved time, money, and effort if he had gotten a lawyer...not to mention he would win the suit and get at least partially recompensated (SP?)

But I would not be surprised if he does that soon for his own sanity. *Edit, BTW, I LOVE your sig! This post has been edited by asg14: May 18, 2005 - 10:38 PM |
