what do you all recommend doing for the best non-ricey sounding exhaust something that is clean and deep without that annoying cracking and popping like beaner crx's....i know the 7afe is a 1.8 liter so im scared to put on exhaust that ive heard from friend's cars that sound good on theirs....i have a friend with real nice magnaflow on an rsx but i have no clue how a magnaflow tip would sound on our 7afes....i thought bout getting the greddy sp but i dont like the look of the tip its the perfect volume and tone though? if i run custom 2.5inch piping what would be the best recommened muffler that looks good and sounds good but not obnoxious?

Might want fix your first post "....mexican beaner crx's" there might be that one hispanic youll offend. just my .02 cents.

but as far as the exhaust question goes. take it to a muffler shop weld a magnaflow to the back and dont remove the cats or resonator. most of the time the "loud/annoying" sound comes from people running no cats or resonators.

I agree with RedSunCelica, DJMC got in trouble for comments like that. As far as exhaust, if you gut a cat you'll get that popping sound, my 5S is throaty but I gutted the cat and it does it when I let off the throttle. It determines the muffler or baffle that you use if you run the Autozone special you'll sound like a Honda, if you get a nice Mangaflow or Dynamax you'll get a more throaty sound since those companies deal with the V8 market mostly.

the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.
