i got the inverted cones for cheap from this guy. Its only one LED on there but it lights it fine. I think it may be overkill for 6 LEDS on one outlet. I paid about 250 per pair and yours are like 800 a pair. May look way better i dunno. My leds def hav not overheated and I think regular bulbs would heat up way more than any LED.

Do you have pics of the inverted style installed in the guage cluster? I thought about those too but didn't think they'd work all that well. LEDs draw very little energy, about 20ma, so I'm sure 6 isn't overkill.

i meant overkill as to the brightness of it all. Then I think about the dimmer knob and that makes sense.

Yeah I'm not worried too much about brightness. I've still got good eyes and I'm not easily distracted from the road. look below--->
my camera made it a little brighter then it is. Also it looks a red-er color instead of the orange look from the camera. I may put a 6LED one in the middle since the top of the 80mph is a lil dark. This post has been edited by ArizonaRed: May 24, 2005 - 11:23 PM -------------------- -97 Celica ST

As long as it's pretty much even I think I'll just go with the inverted LEDs and a 6 LED in the center like you said. Thanks for the input I sincerely appreciate it.

Well they're bulb replacements for the stock 194s. I've had no luck at all with colored bulbs and less than desirable results with bulb covers. The only thing that is going to give me the deep intense blue I'm looking for are LEDs. Thanks though for the interest and the input.

I see...you need real bright then, huh? Cuz i dropped 3 red 194's in place of the three stocks and they run brighter than stock, bright enough for me...they look almost idnetical to those that arizona posted.
You're lookin for a type of neon-ish blue though, then LED is the way to go I'd say...good luck and post pics -------------------- Speeding is only Illegal...

Trust me I'll get pics up as soon as possible. I've still gotta finish a couple of interior light conversions/modifications and then I'll post it all.

yeah me too. i had some hyper white ones in there which were pretty bright. then i put in some blue bulbs which are actually a decent shade of blue, just way too dim. im looking for some cheap LED replacements in the cluster and some blue wide angle LED's for the climate control.
