if you connect the outlet part of the "snail" to the intake thats a hot air set you can run the car on a low 4 psi setting but put a filter on the intake part of the "snail" the center piece its always better to run the set up with it hooked up to the intercooler why are you wanting to start it up before its done?

Make sure it's filtered, drag cars run that way though.

i wont drive it but yes you can hook it up like that and get oil to the turbo and check for leaks but you'll have to re check once the intercooler is hooked up -------------------- yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte

yeah the coolant and or oil line should be primed ( crank the motor over with unplug spark plugs to to force oil through the lines) if you run a turbo with no lubrication you'll burn it out quick and do damage to the seals in the turbo

I think he is talking about the compressor wheel inside the turbo. I would say that it should spin a little at idle. It would have to be a prety big turbo not to spin AT ALL at idle. Your bearings may be dried out, or bad. I was working with a brand new turbo not to long ago and the compressor wheel did not spin freely, so i took it apart and oiled up the bearings and it is fine now. Keep in mind this was a brand new turbo that had been sitting around for a few months. The problem could be worse on your turbo, or there is just simply not enough exhaust flow at idle to spin the turbo.

i think your right celicast18 but im not sure the turbo was hardly used and yeah...the compressor wheel should spin right.. i dont know im lost it just a regular ct-26 on a celica gt????oh and yeah the turbo was sitting for about a month but in a room that was air tight..what ive known it that if a turbo gets too much air while off the car it starts to rush...

i would get some syn oil running through it and take it for a little low boost drive let the turbo heat up might break loose anything stuck in there then in about 1000 or change the oil again. wheni first did my set up i did oil changes at 500 , 1000, 1500 then 3000
