So, after being at school for about a month now and i have to drive roughly 70KM each way. So with my car runnin rich and because of the weight of it, im suckin gas like a pig. I have to fill up every 2days and its costing me around $55 per fillup. So ive decided that im gonna sell the celica. So hopefully if my dad likes this AE86 im lookin at, the celi is goin up on autotrader.ca in a week or so. So this is gonna b my new car, if it passes my dads seal of approval.
So im like 60% sure the celi is going bye bye. Ill let every one know. |

gas is $1.25/L around here..well its down to $1.00/L. And yea every two days cuz i drive 60 or 70KM each day, each way, and i get stuck in traffic, then i also gotta go 2 work, go shopping, run erins..so on. Also im suckin more gas than u are. ur runnin on a ST, ur only goin 1.8. I got a 5sfe. Plus it takes me like 40 min of stop n go traffic for traffic to actually move more than 20KM/H. Toronto traffic is horrible man and just being in it and staying in first or second gear burns alot of gas. When its clear and im duin like 100km/h, my fuel ecno is great. its just sittin in traffic on the way 2 school n on the way back that sucks. It took me almost 2 and a half hours to get home one day cuz of traffic.

i travel 20miles each way to work everyday which totals at 40miles, and there's traffic everyday, takes me more than an hour to get to work. i have a 5sfe tooo... i got shopping run errands etc... and i fill up every 4 days...... so i don't see how you actually fill up every 2 days.. oh btw.. i fillup 3/4 of the tank. not full tank too. and fill up when there's 1 bar left. gas price is now 3.29 for 93 octane. and so i wonder the reason ya selling the celi

The car is like..godly..lol Only thing is im gonna have to do an overhaul on the motor and the diff soon. The motor im just gonna replace/rebuild another one and drop it in. But yea, i talked to my parents today and i got the carfax report from the guy whos sellin it and its mint, 2nd owner. First owner owned it from 86-02 and this guy since 02. Its sick. |

Wow, really feel sorry for you with mileage that bad.
Mixed country driving in my Celica with the 2.2 GT engine and a manual transmission regularly nets me 29-30 mpg and a range of about 450 miles to the tank (though of course I usually fill up before then.) I don't visit the gas station but every two weeks or so. And this is with the top down pretty often too. Thats actually one of the reasons I went with the Celica in the first place: small car + 4 cyl engine + 5 sp manual = good fuel econ. -------------------- |

your milage sucks.
I drive 70km a day and get 750km per tank. sometimes 800km you think the ae86 is gonna get better milage? good luck with that. This post has been edited by wind: Sep 19, 2005 - 12:26 PM |
