just go with a 7th gen short shifter. They work just the same and less than $50 shipped on ebay.

If you want to ghetto do it, you have half ur stock shifter and weld it. Not anything I recommand but if your short on cash, it'd be fun. I have a stock shifter I'll sell you super cheap for u expiriment on
