I'm looking for a replacement keyless entry remote for the factory alarm for my 1995 ST coupe. When I called the dealer, he said they cost $77 for just one replacement. I don't know about you guys, but that seems like a fat rip off to me. Is there anywhere cheaper I can get them?

Are you looking to replace the whole code that's in the key FOB?? Or do you just need the plastic surrounding your code??

The code is the thing malfunctioning. It runs through batteries in about a month, at $4 apiece, which I've given up on replacing. But if it's gonna cost me $77 plus tax to replace the whole thing, I'll just keep changing the battery.

Well i just tried searching through ebay. If you look at your FOB there should be a code that's on there. Do a search on that on ebay, you might luck out.

When I had to replace just the plastic a WHILE back there were quite a few on ebay. Got a pair for about $10 bucks or so at the time, but all I needed to replace was just the plastic cover. I know that you can't just get a new one, the code has to be reset....that's why Toyota is going to charge you an "arm and leg" for the thing.

I ended up finding some place online that sold the remotes for my 94. I think it ended up being like 30 bucks, but i have no recollection of where it was that i got it.
