I'm installing nitrous with purge. everything looks good. someone please let me know if im on the right track with this:



VERY VERY quick diagram. lol. the only thing i forgot to include and remembered just now is the power and groung wires for the pressure gauge.

I had a question. can i use vinyl tubing for the purge lines. i wanted to use brass lines but the hardware stores here dont have em :-( will vinyl work. they say only low pressure but i have some hope. lol. ive seen CO2 purge kits that use what seem to be clear vinyl tubing. im hoping this works. let me know. also, please correct anything on this diagram if im wrong so i dont blow my car up. thanks!

EDIT: I was able to find 20 feet of soft copper tubing. i can bend it and it feels pretty strong. it also fits in the "T" fitting so that it shoots out of two ends of the car. would this work?

Yes, you may T-off your purge so it has two sterms coming out of it. But it'll be less powerfull cuz of course ur spilting it off.

Use whatever for the purge lines. Worse comes to worse, the purge line blows off and u purge inside ur engine bay. Nitrous isnt flamable, so its fine.

What size shot you going to run? Wet kit or dry? brand?

I posted in your General question also, I would recommend using Earl's steel braided lines from Summit Racing, you can use vinyl but unlike CO2 Nitrous requires a higher pressure to keep a more consistant flow meaning you have a better chance for blowing a line. The diagrahm looks good, try moving your pressure guage after the purge valve so you can get a more accurate reading of the nitrous the is going to the motor. I believe it was the Zex 50 shot wet kit you are running right? The copper tubing is a good choice but as with most solid metals the cold temperature that nitrous creates could cause the tubing to distort and crack easily, copper would be good for high temperatures but it's soft and easily destroyed by cold (this explains why more copper isn't being used in vehicles) steel braiding provides the advantage of steel strength with the flex of rubber. Vinyl just doesn't hold up like rubber and since nitrous isn't petroleum based it will not detroy the hose as easily.

is your purge button in the back seat?

Lol. No, the purge button isn't on the back seat. I just added it anywhere in the drawing. Like I said, I did it quickly. My purge button is hooked up to my ciggarett lighter. It's pretty cool. I figured since I don't smoke, I cut off the back half of the lighter and I glued the button with JB Weld crap to the lighter. It's pretty well hidden, you'd never know it was there. The Armor switch is inside the fuse cover under the steering wheel to the left. So when I push the lighter button, it purges nitrous. It's a very comfortable spot too.
