Is it possible to easily add cruise control to my 94 ST?
That pretty much wraps it up... Anyone know if they even make cruise for the 7AFE? Would this be something that easily would be added? Thanks, Todd -------------------- |

Also... is it possible to lower seats beyond that of the lowest setting? I am 6'5" and am always banging my head in the celi... has anyone had the seats physically lowered?? I am guessing that this would take some welding and whatnot... but I would love to know if anyone else has done it.
Thanks in Advance, Todd -------------------- |

My 95 ST has Cruise Control, and im guessing it's stock, but alot of the things on my car aren't stock (sunroof, power windows, power doors) and it was from whoever had the car before me, so i cant be positive its not aftermarket

Yes, it can be added fairly easily, I put cruise in my mothers 2000 Protege last summer, about 3-4 hours work. Whats involved would be mounting the servo unit to pull the gas pedal, mounting the control stalk, tapping into the vehicle speed sensor wire, and tapping into the brake light switch wires, + power and ground. I mounted the servo on the rt front shock tower and ran the cable in thru the firewall and clamped it under the dash so it pulls on the stock gas pedal where the throttle cable hooks up. tapped into the speed sensor at the trans and to the brake lights at the brake light switch on the brake pedal. kind of hard to get to some of those locations, but doable for anyone with a few tools. total cost for an electronic cruise system should be around 125-150 for a decent one. not quite as nice as factory, but it works fine.
