After I lowered the car with the S-Tech springs (0.9in front, 1.4in rear). The camber's totally off. The car's running like this:
/ \ (well not that extreme but u get the point...) I went to an alignment place to get a quote, and he said I'll need an camber kit to make the wheel perfectly straight (0 degree camber) Do I really? -------------------- |

hey tomaz, i can give u the number to a goodyear place and maybe get you a deal...(562) 430-7559, ask for chris and tell him jeff sent you...they do good work, good hours, and dont try to bs you on anything. they located in los alamitos, just off the 605N, take katella and right on los alamitos, few stores down on the right. i think they charged me 100 bucks to do it and if it feels off, take it back and they will do it for free.

4 wheel alignments should run 60$ at most....Keep shopping around. Maybe Cali charges alot more though You dont need a camber kit for tein s-tech's....shoot, they bearly need to adjust for them anyways. I have the before and after spec sheet and it was very slightly off

QUOTE(Jaws4God @ Jun 2, 2005 - 1:21 AM) i have some tein S springs and kyb gr2's on the way... any other helpful hints?? Just make sure you have all the tools that you need. Also, be prepared for the rear, those sway bar links are a pain in the butt. Luckly from experience before hand with my GC's I knew what to expect when I replaced them with Teins. I just bought new links so I wouldn't have to deal with those old links anymore. Plus it's a good idea to replace since your car is getting older. I had a problem getting the OEM front shock cartridge out. Make sure you have a good vice and a plumbers wrench or something to unscrew that shock out. It's on there pretty tight. Well from what I experienced. We ended up taking it to a friends shop and he torched the shock out after draining the shock. The sealant that's on there is on pretty good. So just a heads up on that in case you come across it. -Christee- |

Yeah, the sway bar links sucked my rear. One came off real easy, the other, well, a hacksaw solved that.
