Cutting Springs, Dropzone not enough!! Options

hey everybody,
i put some 18'' rims on my car and bought some dropzone springs and installed them hoping that it will drop my car at least 2", but that didnt happen. My car did drop, but only about 1.5 inches, which isnt what i wanted. The car looks "ok" the way it is, but a lil more drop will make a big difference. So i was wandering, will cutting the dropzone spring just a lil bit make a big difference on how the car rides (will it bounce too much or do any weird things)????(sorry if thats a dumb question)

I just dont want to trash those springs and have to buy some other lowering springs, or even some crappy coilovers (which will not give me a good ride when driving)

wait for the springs to settle and it should be down to about 2 inches

yeah..they told me that when i first installed the springs, but i forgot to mention one lil detail...its been over a month since i installed the springs....im pretty sure they have already settled.. any other suggestions?

chopping springs are for honda dudes. go get some coilovers and some koni yellow adjustabe struts and basically switch the coilover spring rate to about 250-300 in the front cuz they come with around 600 all around and that's why it's so bouny. and about 200-250 in the rear and you'll be set. it's just like having a full coilver setup...ya the real kind!!

have you tried just using the springs and not the sleeve and rings?

your last resort should be cutting the coils.

i really dont want to buy coil overs, then buying the springs would just be a waste of my money...

cutting = increditably UNSAFE and DANGEROUS

you bought dropzone and all they are stated to is like 1.5" anyways so if you wanted 2" why'd you buy them?
so you've already wasted your money...........

if you want 2" the only way to get there is to get a set of coilovers
ground control or arospeed or tien is how you do it
this is were the "sleeve and rings" come in
coilovers are mounted by sliding a "sleeve" with threads on it
over your strut
then there are 2 PERCHES that spin on this sleeve moving up and down changing ride hight
that is how coilovers work
you have springs which don't have them

IMO go trash the dropzone
and get a set of coilovers with either kyb gr2 struts or koni yellow struts

well..ur right on that..i guess i did trash my money when i bought the springs in the first place...i just figured it will drop at 2" cause it said "drop range from "1.5-2.5""...but oh well, my mistake...
i guess ima have to go buy some coil overs..

I cut springs(stock) in the past with no problems what so ever. Wasn't on my celica though.

dont cut your springs sell them here and buy these:
