So you are saying that my cams are better than other cams? Maybe buying a car in Europe wasn't such a bad idea after all.. I was guessing atleast 200$.. Prices over here are crazy compared to the US. This post has been edited by Illyont: Jun 8, 2005 - 9:36 AM -------------------- |

I will call back to the guy and talk with him about the shipping and payment.. Maybe he can ship it straight to you or something. I will also check if it is for a manual, but I think so.. Most cars are manual over here (atleast the more sporty ones). We have 95 and 98 octane here, but as somebody replied to my octane question thread our 95 should be your 89 I think.. And Celicas use 95 here in Norway. I can also check if he have cams, but what pieces do you need? Just the actual cam(s)? Or anything around them too? I guess there have to be two cams, since we have DOHC engines Also, just to double check. Can we go wrong with this ECU? I would hate to buy and ship an ECU all the way to the US and then find out it is missing something or anything else. That would suck bigtime (for you of course, but still). -------------------- |

They have 7A-FE cams from a Carina 96' and are selling them along with the entire head for 250$ US.. (expensive). They didn't want to take out only the cams.
Also they don't want to trade with the US direct because of import/export issues and freight. If I decide to buy one or both items they want another 75$ to ship the items (both of them) to me first. Then I can ship them to you. But it will probably cost an arm and a leg in shipping. ECU: 125$ Head: 250$ Shipping from the junkyard and to me: 75$ Shipping from me to you: unknown$ Total: 450$ + shipping to you.. The junkyard is no were near where I live so I have no chance at picking these things up without them shipping it. It starts to get expensive so I'm not sure it would be a good deal for you anymore. -------------------- |
