Mail scam, Just a warning. Options

The following is a details of the scam. Please take seriously, just incase you do receive a letter like so.

I have recently received a post card saying the following.

Dear (yourname)

We are trying to reach you with good news! It is real important that you call toll free (800 number here).

Thanks
(A name)

Call 10 am to 8 pm EST
Monday thru Friday

If you receive the postcard/letter saying the following, please do not call the number. It is a scam. It looked suspicious, so I did some research for all of you. More details on

If you do receive any variations of this letter/post card, please do not call the number to be requested out of the mailing list, or contact them at any time. Some are even saying that you get forwarded to a 900 number without knowing. How much of this is true? Who knows. Just wanted to let you all know what goes on with these things. If you do need a picture of what these things look like, let me know. I'll scan one up.
