I'm getting h&r springs in 1 day and it's a 1.4 in drop in front and 1.3 in back, do you guys think i would need a re-alignment after the drop?

did anyone else here get their car re-aligned for a drop less than 2 inches? confused.gif

It's not the drop that requires a realignment -- drops over an inch require camber adjustment, which may be part of a full alignment.

The alignment is required when you take your suspension off. As soon as you detach your knuckle from your car, you have to get it aligned to avoid excessive/insufficient toe-in or caster.

u will probably need an alignment job done, just to be safe, i just put KYBs and S-techs on my celi 2day n the guys at the shop said it drives good n its not out at all, but im still gonna get it done because i dont think they checked the caster or camber.

You always need a realignment when lowering!

did anyone of you guys have problems with a spring moving when turning?

I just put KYB's and Tein Springs and my front right spring moves. frown.gif

anytime to modify or play with suspension its a good idea to get an alignment

and jaws what do you mean by your spring is moving?

my friend just said that its normal for a new spring to move and "seat" itself in the first few days of driving... he also said that when i get the alignment done it will be fine... I just hear people talking on here about the bearings and all might not have been put back in right... etc... i just want to make sure this is semi normal and will go away or is it something i should try to go in a fix.. if i can figure it out frown.gif

yea cause they will settle and compress from the weight of the car and go through a "break in" period

but they should stay where they are? are you saying yours a spinning around? or how are they moving?

i'm not really sure... but it sounds like they just have about a 1/2 of inch play.. .so it will slide a little right when i turn right then back left when i turn left... its not much

i checked my suspention and allignment 2day when i picked up the car and i didnt even need one..i was duin 110km/h(around 60mph) on the highway n let go of the wheel n it didnt pull at all. I guess if you get it done really well you dont need it.

if its sliding that means you don't have it on the brackets right (the mounts)
but under that much weight i don't know how springs would slide?

just jack her up and double check your work
