ok guys, just got back from the dyno, mac the crazy fawker that he is drove 3+ hrs up here just to witness it..lol
anyway, heres the results after 1hr of tuning..i NEED bigger injectors, thats the only thing holding me back right now.. the runs were @ about 8psi, it slowly creeps up to 9, almost 9.5 or 10 in the higher rpms.. all in all, VERY happy so far, ill prolly order a bigger set of injectors here REALLY soon... anyway, mac wants to add a line, so im turning the keyboard over to him..: all u switchers that are so quick to say swap ... get on ur knees and like some salty left nuts .... LOL TOLD YA'LL LOL -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Nice results man. Are you running the stock injectors?? Looks a little close to being lean in a few spots. I've got a set of 440's if you want them. I'd say go with the swap for longevity, but the 5s conversion looks to have great power outputs.

I figure that with an aproximate drive train loss of 15% you're at about 225 crank HP. Right up there with the 2nd Gen 3S. If all your running is 315CC injectors it looks like you've got quite a bit of potential there. What size injectors will you be running? You're using the SAFC-II right? Any plans for Standalone? What's you're HP goal? How many questions can I ask in one post? Is one more ok? How about two? LOL. Congrats!!!

those 315cc are really too small for the power he is making.... you always want som headroom with this type of stuff. top feed 400 or 440s would be much better.

i just checked your old dyno sheet. you gained around 84hp and 91Tq ! woot!
you are a lot leaner then you were under 4k .... you know how we were saying that when you take away fuel with the safc, it advances timing? i think your stock ecu is advancing timing under 4k and thats whats causing you to run leaner there. id love to see how the BTM changes the fuel curve, when you install it. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
theyre supra 315cc injectors. it IS lean in a few spots, hence me saying i NEED bigger injectors..lol the side feed, low impedance injectors outta your 3s wont work for me, the 5s is top feed, high impedance. as far as the swap for longevity..i say BAHHH to that. ive said it once, ill say it a million times, the weakest link in any 5sfte setup is the person putting it together. Congrats!!! yup right about 225 is what i figured.. im looking at somewhere between 370-440cc's...just a matter of deciding how much fuel i want. yes, SAFCII no plans for standalone, although i HAVE been thinking about the SMT-7 ive already hit my goal...its not really a #...i just wanted to make the car more fun to drive. i never set out with a specific goal in mind as far as horsepower, i figured if i could make 180-200 at the wheels i'd be happy, and i am. my goals for the car are very conservitive, not looking to make big #'s, just looking to make the car a more ejoyable ride. ask as many q's as you like, thats what the board is all about!!
yup, i knew that art the stock ECU runs natraly lean in the lower rpms art, and advances timing as rpms increse...thats the way they work. the turbo just made it leaner..lol This post has been edited by presure2: Jun 11, 2005 - 4:18 PM -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

hahaha thats the plan man, to prove you, and ALOT of others wrong.. everything looks really good so far, cruise egts are around 900-1000F, about 12-1300F under hard boost..idles around 8-850F the biggest thing for me right now is to get the bigger injectors. that, and to get my PCV routed to the intake, pre-turbo. the puffs of smoke here and there from not having it hooked up is aggrivating. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
