Check the alternater connections, as well as other connections you may have affected electrically.
How long did you not drive it today that it happened? -------------------- If anyone needs interior stuff, etc, I'm parting whats left of my celi out. Just ask.

did you change anything else other than the battery before this started?
something must be drawing power, try disconnecting (taking fuse out) aftermarket devices you think might be drawing power. Also try to charge the battery and leave it disconnected for a day just to see if it holds power. I would start with your audio equipment then move on to other factory devices. -------------------- ----------------------6GC's FIRST V6----------------------

Look at phats thread from the other day - check alternator fuse, and they also suggested going to advance auto or the sort, and they should be able to check batt/alternator pretty quckly.
Also you can check the battery acid pH -------------------- If anyone needs interior stuff, etc, I'm parting whats left of my celi out. Just ask.

Its a dry cell, they wont be able to check the acid ph. Do what K-ESD suggested, you might be running something off your power line when you should be running it off accessory.
Why are you using a cap? That would be one of the first things i'd disconnect (and probably not put back on.) You could also be overloading your charging system; you may need to upgrade your alternator. -------------------- |

yes, don't buy an alternator until you are 100% sure it is the alternator malfunctioning (unless of course your in the market for a High ouput alternator) and the 94-97 corolla's engine is a 4AFE
From what you told us it sounds like you are losing power constantly when the car is off. If the engine is not running the only problem you can have with the alternator is if it's shorting out, completing the circuit and discharging your battery. Usualy when this happens something goes *pow* Before buying anything, make sure you know exactly what the problem is. Good luck -------------------- ----------------------6GC's FIRST V6----------------------

the 1.8l corolla is a 7afe i'm pretty sure... not the 1.6
EDIT: I'm also going to get a high output alt because of the size of my system.... every time it hits had at night they go dim This post has been edited by dustin15brown: Jun 23, 2005 - 10:42 AM -------------------- |

yup, ur right, sorry bout that
from 93-97, the corolla has two engine codes listed in my Haynes manual 4AFE 1.6 7AFE 1.8 It's a very good idea to invest in a high output alternator but make sure your battery is good or else you could toast ur alt. pretty quickly. -------------------- ----------------------6GC's FIRST V6----------------------
