So i went to a free intro workout at a new gym in the area called Xgym - they say you will get better results with them doing 20 mins workouts twice a week than you would seeing a trainer 3 times a week for an hour. So i said what the heck its a free intro work out. I go in and im like should i wait here since i have 5 mins and one of the trainers is like "no how bout u just do cardio" and im like "serious?" and hes lik "yeah" so then i hop on it then 2 mins later im told to fill out paper work. We dont waste time and start out in a small room with several different Nautilus (hehe AMY) equipment and damn its hard! They work ur muscles to fatigue. I like it though! I would start to shake and he would press against the machine and tell me to fight him and not let him push me down and he was like "damn ur strong" hehe i get told that alot! Cuz im not a pansy like other girls at the gym! :-P
So afterwards it felt like i had just had really good umm icecream (haha amy) it was the best feeling and it was only 20 mins of dying. I was shaking after i left cuz my muscles were in shock. I like how they tell u when ur done. Theres no saying "ok this hurts im stopping"

My friends were right -- its kinda like bootcamp! and the best thing?! Its cheaper than my personal trainer at the other gym. 225 for membership and 245 a month!! I was paying 350 every two weeks with my trainer at Golds Gym.

www.xgym.com is their site - they are only here in the seattle area that i know of!

ooh and the trainer was cute too ;-) gotta love it!

yeah working out gives you an awesome feeling, i tend to over work myself sometimes though...
I dont go to the gym because in all honesty i think im fat and i feel even more hideous when im working out so yeah i dont wanna be in public. My problem is that I have a bad knee and i will go on the tredmill for a half hour and get off and have shooting pain up my leg into my hip... but no pain no gain right? I do a ab-concentrated pilates workout for 20 min and its freakin awesome. I've always wanted to go to the gym and get a personal trainer because i dont really know what im doing, and i like to have someone push me over my limit.

My trainers never understood that when i told them that! but yeah i love having a trainer - cuz then they push me and i do things i wouldnt do...

Yeah, i actually think im going to look into the gym thats around the corner from my house, see what the prices are there and all...I love the leg press machine at the gym i could do that for hours, but my knee would proably swell up to the size of a watermelon tongue.gif

Ok a you dont need a trainer or a gym. I work out at home, and have lost a ot of wieght and have goting into shape with no one telling me what to do pushing me or any machines. Its about how your body is, learn it, and wrk with it. Eat healthy and run. Do 200 crunches and 60 push ups every night and morning.. Trust me that will work a lot. Also if you use 100% energy in 20 min, that will be a better exercise then using 50% energy for an hour. thats all it is. Some people just dont have the motivation. spending money to work out is for yuppies

dontforget to stop by starbucks after an get a fluffy furry latte thing. ohan add double shots of bs.. rolleyes.gif

I need a trainer..i just wont push myself without one! Its just how i am! plus they keep track of ur progress and i dont have to think about what im doing or how much weight to add they just do it for u! so i just sit down and keep going till they tell me to stop..i like being catered to like that! :-)

$350 god damn. i payed 135 for my gym and that covers all summer/ college winter break.

trainers are pointless now. you can get your information from the internet for free now and do the same thing.

if anything have a trainer work with you for 3 days so you get a lift going and a good diet.
