Where are you going to get this built auto tranny Red? I'm sorry, but you'd be better off w/ a manual. Odds are the most power ur car will ever see is a 3s. No big 400whp, ect. We're just not fast enough to require some racing tranny.

Not only that, stick has it's advantages. Try going for a twisty drive and using revmatching to take u thro corner and ull be glad its manual

there is a guy on www.toyotanation.com called tony the tiger... he has a fully built automatic transmission for his T66 powered camry. i am not sure if he built up on the stock transmission (i think he had a 3vz-fe) or if put in a custom made transmission...
talk to him maybe you'll get some answers?

well i can understand her reasonin for want auto anyone that has been to atlanta will know and anyone that lives here will tell u hell no for a 5sp. ur talking on the freeways in the morning and the nights during rush hour a 20 minute drives during the school year (different in summer no buses) atleats a hr drive home atleast. now during the summer bout 30 to 45 min. i have a auto and i am thinking of the same thing keeping it one cause the manual is a pain in the ass in traffic especially in atl traffic. now i dont think anyone has really even answered the question can it be done i think i heard a yes. would it cost more money?? who is right about not being good for the engine and who is wrong also if it works if it doesnt. will it effect anything beside horsepower and by how much?? all these things she needs to know and i will need to know eventually. so thanks again everyone for posting need more answers
