im gathering all the parts i need to put on my header, and was wondering what the best aftermarket catalytic converters would be to put on. I would just use my stock ones, but they're almost at 190k, and i think it'd be best if i got 2 new ones. I found the stock ones for sale, but they're pretty pricey. I just dont wanna get one and have them put on then not pass emissions test or something. I was thinkin maybe a catco converter or another good cheap replacement.

If you must put one on, just go with one. This car really can't put out enough polutent to do that much harm. If your going to do that 3sge header, I think it'd be bad to use the stock ones cause they are smaller and restrickive. There's probably some good ones out there, but they cost a good bit.

just take it to an exhaust shop, they know what to do; and can do it for you.

Mine passed with an aftermarket header and no cat between the two 02 sensors (I'm OBDII) at a Toyota dealership.
Go figure.
I was happy.

I don't Think i can pass with a JDM engine. I have a cat, but the thing is the engine likes to spit out black soot with some water. Its really nasty and can be seen.

Well if you feel like driving to Houston I can get you hooked up no matter what you are emitting.
Kinda far though.
