And I think rice is easier to define these days. But everyone's opinion is different. Some are naturally attracted to rice and try to say there Read:Neons arent, they just 'look nice'. Obviously, there's a reason signal and hks arent putting neons on all there cars. Rice is mostly addition or changes to your car that do not make it: handle better, go fast, eaiser to control, more agressive performer,ect.

So neons, stickers, unfunctional wing are some to name a few. But you have to fine the line and still please yourself, so it's diffacult.

damn man I have a system in the back and havn't gutted anything and I get comparable times when im just messing around on backroads without any prep... Auto ST, and I havn't spent half the money you obviously have... Though, I don't go bragging about it, cause 17s is friggin slow. ST won't ever run fast unless you really poor some cash into it, and by the time you do be better off getting a GT and swappin for a 3sgte.

I dont usually do this, but I gotta defend Playr here because alot of you seem to have ur head up ur ass. He didnt claim to be fast, he is merely saying with taking some stuff out and another run, he's 7/10s of a second faster. Thats a real improvement.

And I also dont know you you can compare a track time with "backroads." What are you using a stop watch?

of course dustin! counting in your head is always the best way to go that way you can go into the 1 thousandths of a second for complete acuracy.....but if all else fails bubba says start on the walkie talkie then you mash the gas and bubba says time when ya pass'm and don't forget we measured it to be a complete 1/4 mile with a ruler

I'm sure if you plan on doing a 3SGTE swap you'll actually be able to run full interior and at least get a 14... I haven't seen one run at any of the tracks I've been at but I've seen one or two around...

I don't say nothing about my times in the eclipse because they are horrible right now, but since its been fixed and tuned I'm sure I can run a decent time for an almost stock (except for supporting mods and the tune) GST.

I'd much rather have a Celica with a 3S though...

Do you know why people started putting the body kits on and the big wheels? It's to make them look like racecars. Same reason people put the big wings on, but body kits and big wheels are found much more acceptable for some reason. You've got that thing bagged, don’t you? And I know you've got a body kit. And I think you're running 17s-18s normally. I bet you've got a loud "race inspired" exhaust too. About the wheel thing, there are plenty of lightweight, and better choices to make your car handle better. Same thing goes for the body kit. They are race inspired and with the right one you can reduce drag and increase down force, and exactly the same for a good wing. But you don't need any of those if your running above a 14sec max in the quarter, I guess maybe a 15. People laugh at imports, because most think they're dumb, and do stupid things to their cars. People just assume that because I drive and import, I like systems and big shiny wheels. I'm trying to change this image, but having a difficult time due to the abundance of ricers. Your just as bad as any ricer I've ever seen, and you give imports a bad name. I've seen your headlight conversion, and the money you've spent on your car. This doesn’t exclude you, it just makes you a ricer with talent and money.

well just so you know 3sgte isn't the only way to get into the 14s range..HA

aka ST2 aka 7afte! but i'll for sure hit 14s if not 13s but hey who knows
i don't even have the turbo on the motor yet we'll see when that goes on!

This chearing over the 17 second anything is bull crap.  This is why imports get such a bad name.  Guys running low 17's and thinking their doing great.  Putting on the bodykits and the bigwheels to make it look like a race car, and then your gutting it and running mid 17's?  Makes me sick.
