Hello all!

All I do is dream about having one of these beauties...can you help me? I am looking for a 1994 GT-Four manual tranny ONLY. I would prefer the body and running condition to be good, but can handle some problems...I would enjoy fixing it up a little bit too ;o)

I live on the west coast, so close by would be great, but also not a requirement. I can handle a road trip and do have family all over the US.

I am on MSN a lot...sign in is "Sibbea" if you want to IM me. Or just send an e-mail.

THANX!

Good luck. I think there are two or three GT-Fours that we know of in the US. They were never offered here if you didn't know.

that is what I was afraid of...the only one that I found for sale is a '91 model. Oh well...I can always dream, and you never know, maybe someday I can import one. Why do we always get jipped on the good cars in America?

[QUOTE]BTW The Gt Four only comes with a Manual Transmission![QUOTE]

That sure is good to hear, I would just hate to see a car like that with an auto. Do you all know what would be involved in doing a swap? ...(please consider that I am new at all of this and really dont have a clu here, which is why I joined this site)... Would it be possible/feasable/reasonable to get one of the 5th gen cars and put the drive line, and engine into a 6th gen car? I am so totally in LOVE with the 6th gen that I would not want to part with that, but at the same time, must have an all-wheel drive car and manual tranny. The turbo is a HUGE plus, but if I was doing some kind of self-modified car, adding a turbo is really no big deal to me.

Bear with me here, I am blonde too, so if any of these brainstorms are totally out of whack and not possible, please dont be too hard on me ;o)

Thanks all!

Yes it is possible and there are about 50 people on this site that have done it. The motor that comes in the 90-93 car is a 2nd gen 3sgte. If you do a search for 3sgte swap or go into the engine/transsmission forum, there will be a feasible motor swap section. I did a write on how to do the swap as well. There are a couple other write-ups on how to do it and everything you will need as far as parts go.
The 6th gen here is only front wheel drive. A couple people have made it AWD but I know 1 of those people have taken it apart b/c of alignment issues (you also have to move the gas tank, mucho custom work). That part isn't too feasible but the swap is.
