i wanna get a custom made exhaust for my car after i get my new transmission, but since im gonna get an exhaust made, i was thinkin about getting a header made if they're not too expensive. How much you guys think they would be along w/ the exhaust? also, do they NEED my car in the shop whent they're making the exhaust, or do they just look up measurments for my stock exhaust and use that?

I think you'd save money if you bought a header for a 90-93 GT, or an MR2 5S-FE, and had it modified to fit your car rather then to have one completely fabbed up for you.

go and order a header from like 200-400 and then take your car into a muffler shop with the header and they will put it all together an make you an exhaust. it shouldnt take too long just depends on the guys experiance and scedule. I can have a custom exhaust made for me at 200 but it wont be as good as an ordered one.

Get a custom made one like me :-) I cant quote a price cuz mine is free :-D

I have an ALL CUSTOM made exhaust. 2.5 inch mandrel bent. I love it!!

Getting my header by this summer. Im letting the guy work on it on his own time thats why its free for me. Plus my dad hooks him up with business so he hooks my car and my brothers car up :-D

Oh yah, make sure you're getting a mandrel bent exhaust too, not crush bent. Crush bent will impede flow and also potentially cause turbulence in the flow. 2.25" should be all you need if you're staying N/A, 2.5" or greater is only useful if you're going FI or have a large displacement engine.
