Okay, I just e-mailed Hotshot today and they still said they're looking for someone in SoCal area with a stock GT to test it on.
I'm in the Bay Area, but damnit, I'll drive down there and do it if nobody in SoCal is up to the job. It will be a couple of months before I can do it, as I have a lot of travel planned in the near future, but hopefully someone can volunteer sooner. So who's gonna do it? C'mon guys, someone has to have a stock GT nearby. |

Actually, I don't see why they could not also do a 3s header too, all they plan to do is make a mock-up of the 5S from the 90-93 model and then use that to fab 94-99's.
I think they already have a 3s available, just not for 6th gens. I'll write them back and ask if they can take a 3s and do a header for 6th gen 3s cars too, but I don't have a 3s car... so one of you guys still has to step up and roll in. |

This is not volunteer volunteer right? As in, volunteer to test it and keep it for free.. it's more like, buy it and be the beta test.

That's the deal they were pushing with me. You buy it, they put it on and test it. If you really want one, it wouldn't be too bad. Too high priced if you ask me. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

The deal they described to me was basically you let them test fit a mock up, and you go home with what you came with. The guy that lets them use his car gets nothing out of the deal except he can buy a header when they start fabbing them.
It's not any kind of bonus deal, but jeez guys, the whole community is clamoring for a header from the posts I have read, so an opportunity to have Hotshot start making them sounds like a great deal to me. I believe I read that they also would not have to charge $450+ for it, it would be in the $300+ range, which is normal for a header. |

Why dont you guys just buy 1.8 liter corrolla performance headers they bolt right up, the only thing is you would need to extend the downpipe 3". But they bolt right up to the engine, that is what i have on my car! And i love them.
Bigal Pics in the profile if anyone is interested in what they look like, I will prolly be selling them in a few weeks, only used them 3months. But i am getting a 3sgte engine so i have no use for them anymore. -------------------- 1994 celica GT.....3sgte in a month! all helpers are welcome!!! i live in Plattsburgh, NY.

O.k. I just posted that I wanted to use the corrolla 1.8 liter header on my 2.2 liter motor 94 GT. I had many people tell me it would *not* bolt up to the 2.2 liter motor. So I forgot the idea!!!!
_So are you telling me you *actually* have the 1.8 liter corrolla header on a 2.2 liter GT model celica and that it bolts right up to the motor? If so I am going to buy one based on your info!!!!! Thanks..... |
