Hey guys, i need some help w/ my 4agze swap. It's coming down to the last couple of things w/ this motor before its 100% done, and now I need some help. I sent my wiring out to a guy in malaysia to get done, and it runs but it seems i have a gremlin, and a bit of a strange one at that.

The car will start up and run, and sometimes will blow the efi fuse after it has been running for a while. I think the problem may have to do with heat, as it only happens so far on really hot days, or when i hit the gas harder. After it blows, if you simply wait a few minutes, replace the fuse and try, it will start right back up. If you replace it immediately it will just blow the fuse again?

So i think it has something to do with heat, and MAYBE the opening circuit relay. There was a bypass that we had made there earlier in the swap that is now no longer needed. The opening circuit really is pretty beat up, and had some stuff burn / melt around it and going into it.

Any suggestions would be great if someone wants to help me find the gremlin

It's going to have to do with how he made the harness. Basically it sounds like he ran too much through the EFI circut. I've seen it done before. The only way to fix it is to take the looming apart and find out what he did... and since you didn't want to do the harness in the beginning then you probably won't want to do that.

So, if you want to send the harness to me then I should be able to find and fix the problem in a day or two, probably cost you around $200. I won't be able to get to it until August though.

Or, if you want to do it yourself, then email me and I'll walk you through it.

*edit* By the way, the reason why it blows if you don't let it cool down is because the wiring is overheating somewhere because of it drawing too much power. And whatever you do, don't use a bigger fuse unless you want to light your car on fire smile.gif

I just checked the diagrams and it sounds like the c/open relay is what's causing the problem. I emailed you back, short story is I need to know EXACTLY what happenend with the c/open relay and what you did.

And I see you've got a '94 ST so nevermind that part smile.gif
