I'm guessing that the Porsche was most definitely a Boxter, and not an S, and definitely not a 911 Carrera or Carrera GT.

n/a i ran 17.4 in my ST......and i can go down to the 16s with practice

"Show me dyno's of 7afte's on 15psi with over 225hp and I'll shut up, or show me a 1/4 slip with a 7afte that used to run 17's now run 13's."

and you need to learn STs cause you can ride a decent amount over 200whp with 12psi on stock internals

and i believe with my setup i'll clear 15psi and 250whp is my goal

And maybe with a built engine you'll get that. you expect to almost triple the hp of a car with 12psi ?

I'm sure a ST can gets 16's, but thats still damn slow, lol. But I don't drive my celica for speed so thats no biggie

Your answer still didn't provide any proof . . . .

and still doesn't show how a 240hp could smoke a porsche. . .

I'm not trashing the 7afte, I almost turbo'd my 4afe. but I'm not seeing any proof it'll smoke a porche here. . .

porsche really isn't all that fast either.....

and boost ect.....

QUOTE(drnovascotia @ Jul 5, 2005 - 8:01 PM)
you need to stop speaking pure and utter BS. runs 13's and 14's  model depentent the 1/4, I'm fairly certain this is correct

Show me dyno's of 7afte's on 15psi with over 225hp and I'll shut up, or show me a 1/4 slip with a 7afte that used to run 17's now run 13's.

stock 7afe is less than 100hp to the wheels, 225 would be a damn lot from such a small engine, even if the stock HG could take 15psi, which I'm not sure of on the 7afe. forgive me if I seem reluctant to believe this car smoked a porsche, but I believe myself and others seem to agree this doesn't sound 100% correct.

And "leaving it behind"? thats gotta mean the celica would need to run 12's, right ?

Don't single me out as the only one not believing you, and I readily admit I might be wrong, i'm even asking you to do so.

i'm not single anyone out but i'm here with my facts on the 7afte everyone knows the parts i had on my 7afte and saw the dyno sheets and dyno videos

so here we go.....

go here for dyno charts

i dont know who won the race dont really care

now for facts

On a Garrett T3 50 trim turbo my car did 170 WHP 180 torque at 9.5 psi

on my run to do 14 psi at 3700 rpm i had to cut it off because i was going lean on my small injectors at that point i hit 2400 rpm to go so my conclusion is it will hit close to 200whp 220 torque at 14-15 psi

NOW look on different turbos you can hit 10 horse more at the same boost level so at 15psi on a bigger turbo like t3 60 trim etc him could be close to 210-220 whp

now you want a 1/4 mile slip i can get one from psi racing but its 7afte in a 90's corolla body so its lighter and it did a 14.4 pass

Now you guys can go on and yell at each other about who won but a 7afte is not a super motor but is a quick car at 10-15 psi and alot of fun to drive

so does anyone want to call BS on me??

There you go, I see 170hp . . not this 250 he's claming
t3 would make your spool slooooow,

Thats what I would expect, and bet that turbo spools quick and gets full boost by 3500, It'd be good out of the gate. . .like I said not downplaying it at all

your numbers seem right to me. And i'm not trying to call anyone out, but I don't want people thinking turboing a 100hp engine will smoke a porsche. . . .

Thanks for the info!

see there you are again
"t3 would make your spool slooooow"

thats not true....a T3 can spoll rather quick on a 7afe

and yes you can turn a 7afe into a porsche beater just not a gt2 or anything crazy like
