i have 17" rims on my car and the body shop said i could not lower my car unless i wanted to decrease my turn radius. they said this is because of the rims & tires i have. is this true? i was wanting to lower it the 1.4&1.3" kit.

If you've correctly adjusted the size of your tires down as your wheel size went up, larger wheels shouldn't matter (e.g. 185/65R14 is the same 23.5" diametre as 205/40R17). Wider tires, on the other hand, can be a problem.
225 is the max I've seen run with a drop on the fronts -- most people I know use 215 on even 18s. |

isn't rolling fenders what you do to fit bigger tires.

17's will be no problem as long as you have the proper offset.
