So my car is just about done getting fixed from the accident. So since the hood is on and the turn signal finally came in we asked the shop to put on my GT4 front bumper and so they started on it and now they cant do it because legally theyd have to take the aluminum rod out and put the steel one in..or something like that..did anyone have a problem like this? Now Im going to have to help my dad on friday night put it on before the all-trac meet here in Washington on saturday morning.

I HATE BODY SHOPS!!!! (not because they couldnt but the bumper on but because they said my car would be done on monday then it was tuesday then wednesday and now its possibly tonight!!! but probably tomorrow!!!!

if you are talking about removing the crash bumper, i think you need to order the gt4 one, or just do without and hope you don't get in an accident.

really? that's nuts. where do you live? DC or Washington State? You can easily solve that problem by just putting it on yourself, or trying another shop. some shops won't care as much about legality, especially if you know the people that work there.

I know these people at this shop. Its understandable that they wont do it because of legal reasons it just dampers the situation. Anyways my dad will just do it tomorrow night when im out! I feel bad to make him do it but ive been waiting for that bumper for months

You could always take off the bar yourself, and then take the car to the shop to get the bumper installed. smile.gif

I thought I read somewhere that it's only four bolts too.
