OK so i bought this car off ebay for 2grand, its got 80k miles, nice interior ****ty seats, came from miami, FL. I got it with an unfinished 3sgte swap, heres what i got then ill list what i know im missing. I got shift linkage and shifter in place in the car, I got the clutch master cylinder and the holes tapped for it, i also have the bracket that holds the clutch pedal (this car was an auto) I need to find the clutch pedal assembly and hydraulic lines. I got the motor with the all-trac tranny and it arrived in the car by only the driver and passenger side motor mounts (bad weld jobs too i need to redo them) so its the AWD tranny with the transfer case removed and a blocking plate installed (i heard rumors I loose power this way? if so i will get an Mr2 tranny in its place) now i have one new axle for the alltrac tranny but only the one so if i keep the alltrac setup i need the second and if i go mr2 i need a new set. Also i need diagrams and a place to buy the wire harness for my car. Also I need a radiator since the bottom hose for my car was on the opposite side of the 3sgte, so will an alltrac or gt-4 radiator work? Thats all I can come up with for now im really tired. Any help is appreciated, I need this car asap.

I remember this one on eBay. Its the black one, right? well that AWD tranny with the blocking plate is not safe at all, to my understanding. I don't think anyone would recommend that whatsoever. So get that MR2 tranny as soon as you can. That's all I can help with. Lol. Good luck.

dont get the tranny from the mr2 unless you are looking for alot of work..i thnk the best thign to do would be get the tranny from the gt celica and use it it will boilt right up to ur 3sgte engine and is fwd plus it is made for the car...mr2 will require custom fabrication to mount it and special engine mounts

Get the mr2 tranny not the gt. All you need to mount it is to change the shift linkage around, and the st205 motor mounts, and I think the st205 shift cables, do a search on here there was a post with information on what you need to make it work. Look for info posted by Sphinx he has the e153 tranny and he listed all the parts you need.

ok so I think im gonna go with a GT tranny.. I have a celica that live a few streets away from me it never moves dont know what s wrong with it but its a 5th gen and im pretty sure its gt. IF it is GT can i use its tranny in my 6th gen? if so i got a TRD clutch for my 3s-gte with alltrac tranny what do i need to do with that clutch to make it fit a gt tranny? just the pressure plate? Then does any one have a guide for direct modification to the wire harness? and also how about the radiator issue? Thanks -------------------- 94' ST Coupe - 5sfe Motor swap and brake swap.

I hear you should be good with the GT tranny as long as you don't do anything crazy power wise. The E153 can handle power much better than the stock GT tranny.
